The most difficult and time consuming part for me was getting the interface module into its allocated spot behind the glove compartment, otherwise, it's a straightforward process, and the provided instructions from BMW are precise. Removal of the glove compartment is a relatively simple process, and requires removal of the vent and side trim on the passenger side, as well as the trim around the radio, then removing the torx screws holding it (the glove compartment) in place. He's also done a write-up on removing trim, which, in conjunction with the trim removal tools he recommended, was invaluable. AndyM has an awesome write-up in the DIY section on removing the centre console. The installation was a bit involved, as I decided to put the iPod in the ashtray as opposed to the glove compartment, and to get to the underside of the ashtray the centre console has to be removed. I have iDrive, so in lieu of using the aux input, the iPOd interface made sense. ![]() Has anyone installed one of those and how hard is it? After I press pause and play the audio resumes but is out of sync with the time stamp. I noticed that when connected by bluetooth to my car, and after I make a phone call, there is no audio from the song but the time stamp still keeps moving. Third is give option to delete custom preset created. Another is to fix audio stutter when moving time stamp bar and when switching tracks. Just some tweaks I would like is to be able to adjust the preamp even lower a few notches below the -10db to decrease volume when I wear earbuds. This is the best music player I have tried so far. However, my 5th generation mini iPad runs the application perfectly and I’m totally happy with that! I would recommend getting this MP3 player! It’s a very nice application and you can make your playlists and it plays perfectly. Maybe the iPad2 operating system is too old. So I’m waiting to see if another update comes through so the music files will play on the older mini iPad. Before I updated the iPad2 the application worked perfectly and it played all my music files. After updating the app again it doesn’t crash anymore but it fails to play my music files. That iPad uses iOS 12.5.5 which is old but after contacting the developer (and Apple) about this issue another update was provided the very next day. However, after installing a recent update, that I wish I never used, the app crashed on my mini iPad2 every time i would attempt to use it. The application works great and getting music files from my iCloud sources works great. I installed it on an old mini iPad2 and a newer 5th generation mini iPad. I decided to use this application instead of buying a iPod or other type of MP3 player so I paid to get the full application and stop the ads. In technology there’s always a nuance more that can be done and this developer seems to care about that.
